2025 Greenway Gators at Evergreen Makos

The Evergreen Meadows Makos look forward to hosting the Greenway Gators for our swim meet on Wednesday, June 25, 2025! Details are provided below. Theme: Superheroes/Mystical Creatures – which will you choose? Location: Evergreen Meadows Pool (104 Wallace Drive SE, Leesburg, VA) Parking Details: Evergreen Meadows typically leaves their pool parking lot open for visiting team use. If the lot is full, please park along Stowers Lane (along the west edge of the pool property) for overflow. Please refrain from parking along Wallace Drive and Alpine Drive to minimize disruption to their residents along these streets. Entrance Instructions: Athletes and spectators should use the locker rooms to enter and exit the pool area. Warm-ups:
Volunteers: The meet will not begin until all volunteer spots are filled. Please sign up to avoid delays.
Team Staging Area: The Gators team area will be located under the pergola and in the small turf area on the far side of the pool (shallow end). Spectator Viewing Area: Parents, family, and friends of swimmers attending the meet are welcome to sit anywhere on the deck space between the pool house and the near side of the pool as you enter the pool deck. To maintain clear sightlines and facilitate efficient meet operations, parents not working the meet as a deck official, volunteer lane timer, or in any other meet position are not permitted in the team areas or in any area within ten feet of the pool. Further, competitors may not loiter along the edges of the pool between the timers and the starter equipment. Evergreen Meadows encourages families to bring their own deck chairs and shade canopies. These may be used in addition to those available on the pool deck. Please remind your swimmers to stay with the team during the meet. If the coaches cannot find your swimmer for their event, they might miss it. Concessions: A variety of concessions options will be available. The Makos accept cash or Venmo. Weather: If weather impacts the swim meet, a text alert will be sent using SwimTopia. Plan on the standard 30 minute delay (proceed to your cars to wait). If the teams need to call it, an announcement will be sent through SwimTopia. Keep your phones handy please. Heat Sheets: Will be published on the Documents and Links page when they are ready. You can also view your swimmer(s) event, heat, and lane in the Swimtopia app. Copies will also be displayed in the team area at the meet. Spirit Theme: Hawaiian! We encourage everyone to wear their most festive Hawaiian or luau attire. We’re thinking grass skirts, flower leis, Hawaiian shirts… Location: 55 Meade Drive SW, Leesburg, VA Parking Details: We will aim to leave space for our visiting team to park in our pool parking lot. Additional parking space is available on Greenway Drive and Meade Drive. Entrance Instructions: Please use the locker rooms to enter and exit the pool area. Schedule:
Spectator Area: The visiting team will use the snack area (to the far right as you enter the pool deck from the locker rooms) with their guests using the space at that end of the pool. Please also share the space along the back fence (long lounge chairs). Gators spectators will use the space along the pool house side of the pool and the half of the lounge chair area closest to the awning. Please be sure to leave space for swimmers to move from one end of the space to the other so they can set up for their events. Supervision: Coaches are responsible for the conduct of their swimmers and families and for cleaning up their team areas. Please remind swimmers to stay with their team during the meet. Concessions: Cash-only concessions will be available. We will have Anita’s Breakfast Burritos and assorted snacks, pastries, and drinks. Weather: If weather impacts the swim meet, a text alert will be sent using SwimTopia. There is a 60-minute wait period after a thunder/lightning strike. The pool deck must be cleared during that time. Team Reps and Head Coaches will address any weather delays accordingly. We are looking forward to a fun meet! See you at the pool! |

The Hurricanes are excited to welcome the Gators to Hartland for our upcoming meet on Wednesday evening, June 18th. Below you’ll find all the details you’ll need for a smooth evening at their pool. Please note, this is their first time ever hosting a swim meet! Let’s be the best guests possible and bring our biggest, toothiest, Gator smiles! Meet Location: Hartland Pool, 41245 Hartland House Lane, Aldie, VA, 20105 Gators Theme: Tie Dye! Wear all the tie dye you have. Who will be the most spirited and colorful Gator on deck??? Parking: Parking is available in the lot near the pool, but it fills quickly. When parking in the neighborhood, please be mindful of fire hydrants and do not block any driveways or mailboxes. Anywhere with gravel is fair to park on. Please allow time to find parking and to walk to the pool area. The Hurricanes appreciate our helping them to be good neighbors! Schedule:
Team Area: The Gators team area will be on the pool deck. Spectators should remain on the side of the pool near the splash pad. Although there is tiered seating behind the shallow end of the pool, it gets very crowded during 25m swims if parents are behind the timers. There should only be swimmers in that area. Facility Notes: The wading/baby pool and playground are off-limits during the meet. We appreciate your help in keeping swimmers and siblings out of these areas. Concessions: Concessions will be available with drinks, snacks, and light dinner options. Cash and Zelle (via QR code) are accepted. BONUS – There will also be a Kona Ice Truck out front! |

The Kirkpatrick Farms Krakens are excited to host the Greenway Gators during our swim meet on Saturday, June 14, 2025! Details are provided below. Theme: Green Out -- Think you've got the most Gator spirit? Prove
it! Location: 25520 Summerall Drive, Aldie, VA 20105 Parking Details: Parking is limited. If the lot at the Clubhouse is full, please park along the public roadways, or at the Pinebrook Elementary School parking lot. Please be respectful of the Kirkpatrick Farms community streets. Do not park in front of driveways or mailboxes. Also, please refrain from parking on the corners of the clubhouse parking lot, on Experience Way, or on Summerall Drive, as this creates hazardous sightline issues for all vehicles using this intersection. Team Area: The team areas are located on the far end of the pool deck through the maintenance entrance behind the clubhouse. Please feel free to bring canopies and chairs. The host team respectfully asks that we make sure the area of clean and free of trash before leaving. PHONE USE BEHIND THE STARTING AREA: We want to reiterate that there can be NO PHONES behind the starting area. If you are timing or officiating, you CANNOT take your phone out behind the lanes. If you need to take a call, please excuse yourself to the side of the pool. Timers should not be taking videos or pictures during events as well. Please have a different family member take pictures or videos from the side of the pool. This is a rule from ODSL (Old Dominion Swim League). Our entire swim team can be disqualified for using phones behind the lanes. Meet Time Line: Please plan to arrive no later than 7:15 am. Coaches: arrive no later than 7:10 am. This pool is about a 30-minute drive from Greenway Farms.
IMPORTANT: There is a hard stop for this meet and we have a lot of swimmers participating. It is imperative that your swimmers stay with the team during the meet. Any delays may require the meet officials to cancel relays for the sake of time. If the coaches cannot find your swimmer for their event, they may not be able to race. Timers: Thank you for volunteering to help collect accurate times for our swimmers. The timers briefing will be held at 7:35 am at the far end of the pool. At that time, timing procedures, assignments, and watch operations will be reviewed. All timers (1st and 2nd half) should plan to attend. Officials: Stroke and Turn officials report to the Referee at 7:35 am in the kiddie pool area for a Meet Officials Briefing and to discuss the rotation of Stroke & Turn officials. Concessions: Kirkpatrick Farms will have concessions available and will include Chick-Fil-A Chicken biscuits, Anita's breakfast burritos, donuts, chips, assorted candy, drinks and snow cones. They accept cash, credit cards, Apple Pay, and Google Pay. Weather: If weather impacts the swim meet, a text alert will be sent using SwimTopia. The pool deck must be cleared if there is thunder/lightning. Team Reps and Head Coaches will address any weather delays accordingly. We look forward to hosting our home team swimmers during Time Trials on Saturday, June 7, 2025! Details and the event program (aka, Heat Sheets) are provided below. ALL Gators (Minis too!) are encouraged to come to Time Trials, whether swimming or not. It is a great way to see how swim meets are run if you’re new to the team. It's also a lot of fun to cheer on your teammates as they establish their initial event times for the 2025 season. Schedule:
2025 Season Registration Fee Registration fees for this season must be paid before Time Trials. If you have not yet turned in your payment, please do so ASAP. You can deliver money to our Treasurer, Jeremy Davis, at 117 Cedargrove Place or bring it to the meet. Please make checks out to “Greenway Gators” Theme: Gator Pride – wear your *NEW* or an old Greenway Gators t-shirt Location: Greenway Farms Pool, 55 Meade Drive, Leesburg, VA 20175 Parking Details: Additional parking is available on Greenway Drive and Meade Drive once the pool parking lot is full. Entrance Instructions: Athletes and spectators should use the locker rooms to enter and exit the pool area. Restricted Areas: The game room is reserved for concessions and the baby pool is closed during the meet. Warm-ups: Please arrive at the pool by 7:15 am and be ready to dive in for warmups which will take place from 7:30 - 7:55. The National Anthem will be played at 7:55 am. Coach Emma will be looking for several swimmers to swim flags across the pool. Volunteers: The meet will not begin until all volunteer spots are filled. Please sign up now to avoid delays on Saturday morning.
Spectator Viewing Area: The area under the awning/sunshade is reserved for the swimmers. Spectators can set up just about anywhere else around the pool deck. Please be sure to leave walking space around the perimeter of the pool for our volunteers and swimmers to move about. Please remind your swimmers to stay with the team during the meet. If the coaches cannot find your swimmer for their event, they might miss it. We are the only team on deck for this event, but this is great practice for dual meets when we have another team at the pool as well. Concessions: Cash only concessions will be available with an assortment of items on hand to include the fan favorite...Anita's Breakfast Burritos! Weather: TBD! However, if the weather impacts the swim meet, a team alert will be sent
using SwimTopia. Our pool management company has a 30-minute wait period after
a thunder/lightning strike. The pool deck must be cleared during that time.

New Swimmer Evaluations

No need to RSVP. Please show up between 5:00 and 6:00. Swimmers will be lined up and will be evaluated in order of arrival. Don't forget your goggles! This event is for all new swimmers (Gators and Mini Gators) including 2024 Mini Gators who have registered for the regular team this season.
All swimmers should also be willing to attempt to demonstrate a second stroke and to use a kickboard to swim across the pool one time. Mini Gators Eligibility To join the Mini Gators, a swimmer must be 4 - 8 years old and
