End of Season Meets

The Old Dominion Swim League (ODSL) has roughly 30 member teams, organized into 7 divisions, located throughout Loudoun County. Each division has been arranged so that EOS Divisional swim meets will have approximately the same number of teams and swimmers. In 2025, Greenway Farms was part of Division 4 with Franklin Park, Kirkpatrick Farms, Belmont, and Hartland.

Throughout the regular season, each swimmer’s race times are tracked by event, age, and gender to develop a top 40 list. Rankings are posted on the ODSL website and updated on Mondays and Thursdays.

After the regular season concludes on July 11, all ODSL coaches will attend a meeting to set the EOS All-Star swim meet roster. This season, ODSL will use time standards (see below) to determine eligibility for each event at the All-Star swim meet.

To set that final roster, coaches contact eligible swimmers to determine their availability to participate in the All-Star meet.

The eligibility criteria for EOS swim meets are:

  • Swimmers may only compete in the EOS meets if they have participated in at least two League-sanctioned meets during the current season (this does not include Time Trials).
  • A swimmer without an official League time (NT) in an event cannot participate in that event in any EOS Meet.
  • Swimmers who make a qualifying time will be eligible to swim at the All-Star meet in the events for which they qualified.
    • Swimmers who make 1 qualifying All-Star time will be eligible to swim at Divisionals, but not in the event they qualified for.
    • Swimmers who have 2 or more All-Star qualifying times will not be eligible to swim at the Divisional meet
  • A swimmer MAY achieve an All-Stars cut time at the Divisional Meet.

Notes:

  1. Tech suits are not allowed at any ODSL season meet (dual, tri, division, or All-Stars) for ANY swimmer - swimmers must wear their team suit
  2. EOS meets include the following 5 events: freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, butterfly, and individual medley (IM). No relays are held at either swim meet.
  3. At the Divisional meet, a swimmer may elect to participate in up to 3 of the 5 events.
  4. At the All-Star meet, a swimmer may also participate in up to 3 events. However, All-Star participation is based on qualifications. If a swimmer qualifies to swim in more than 3 events, they may only select up to 3 events to swim. They may not select an event for which they have not qualified to swim.
  5. All-Stars Qualifying Times will be set after Meet 2 (June 19)
  6. No swim-ups are permitted at the EOS Meets
  7. All events will be seeded from slowest to fastest
  8. Lanes will be assigned per USA Swimming Rules and Regulations
  9. Scoring will be 16, 13, 12, 11, 10, 9, 7, 5, 4, 3, 2, and 1 for 1st through 12th places, respectively
  10. Medals will be awarded to the first twelve place winners in each event. All other swimmers will receive a participation ribbon.

The ODSL EOS eligibility criteria were revised for the 2024 season based on survey feedback and input from each team.

ODSL Time Standards

Swimmers who achieve a time equal to or faster than the standard will be eligible to participate in the All Star meet if they have also participated in at least 2 regular season swim meets. Participation in Time Trials does not count count toward the 2 meet requirement.

Time Standards for the 2025 ODSL All Star meet are provided below. Time Standards for 2026 will be published as soon as they are available.
