Your account must be in good standing (dues paid) to be eligible to compete in ODSL events. Please note this includes participation in Time Trials.

Preseason Practices continue this week, on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, from 5:00 – 8:00 pm (six separate, 30-minute sessions).

Please sign up for practices using SignUpGenius. Swimmers may attend only one session per day. (https://www.signupgenius.com/go/60B0848ACAC2AA7F94-64224248-preseason#/).

Inclement Weather Reminder - If the pool needs to be closed due to weather, practices will be canceled. This could also mean practices may end early on occasion. Please keep an eye on the weather and your phones. Coach Emma will send a Swimtopia Text Alert and post to the Gators Facebook group whenever the weather impacts the team.

Swim Meets This Week: Time Trials– Saturday, June 6

Time Trials are low-pressure and a great opportunity to experience what happens at a swim meet. While we are excited to host the Ida Lee Eeliminators, this is not a scored meet - think of it as a practice swim meet. It will give the whole Gators family - swimmers, parents, coaches, officials, and volunteers - the chance to iron out all the little details of a swim meet. In short, come to have fun and don't stress!

At Time Trials, swimmers may swim in up to 5 events (Freestyle, Backstroke, Breaststroke, Butterfly, and Individual Medley), and swimmers ages 13 and over may swim in the bonus 100-meter freestyle. There are no relay races. This is a great chance to set a baseline for the season.

• Greenway Farms warmups: 7:10 - 7:30 am
• Ida Lee warmups: 7:30 am – 7:50 am
• Official’s briefing: 7:35 am
• Timers briefing: 7:45 am
• National Anthem: 7:55 am
• Start Time: 8:00 am
• End Time: 11:00 am (estimated)

• Please declare your swimmer’s intent to participate, whether they are attending the meet or not.
• Deadline: 7:00 pm, Thursday, June 4
• Meet Declaration Instructions (online):
  • Log in to SwimTopia using your email/password - https://greenwaygators.swimtopia.com/login
  • Click on "Meets & Events Calendar"
  • Scroll to the meet you want to declare for
  • Click GREEN "Meet Entry" button
  • Click BLACK "edit" button
    • For each swimmer, select the option of "attending" or "not attending" from the drop-down box
    • Check to enter the events your swimmer would like to swim, if known(otherwise, Coach Emma will choose events for your swimmer).
  • Coach Emma may adjust event entry based on performance/skill demonstrated in practice
  • Add any notes for the coaches
  • Click the BLACK "SAVE" button
• Meet Declaration Instructions (SwimTopia App)
  • Open the app and tap on an upcoming meet
  • Tap on “Meet Signup”
  • Tap on “Edit”
  • For each swimmer, select the option of "attending" or "not attending" from the drop-down box
    • Check to enter the events your swimmer would like to swim, if known(Otherwise, Coach Emma will choose events for your swimmer).
  • Tap “Save.”

• The deadline to declare swimmers is THURSDAY, JUNE 4, at 7 PM. We cannot add swimmers after the declaration deadline.

Time Trials are run like all other swim meets, which means we need your help! Please sign up to volunteer (remember, all families must volunteer a minimum of 3 times per season).

You can sign up online https://greenwaygators.swimtopia.com/swim_meets or through the SwimTopia app. App instructions are provided below.

• Open the SwimTopia app and click on an upcoming swim meet
• Under the Work Shifts section, click on Job Signup
• Adults connected to your account will be displayed on the next page with a sign up icon beneath each person's name. Click Sign Up for Jobs
• Click the checkbox next to a Job Name (descriptions below) to sign up to volunteer at the meet
• Click Save Assignments

Special Volunteer Opportunity – Concessions Manager

The Greenway Gators are looking for a Concessions Manager for the 2026 season — a fun volunteer role that helps keep our swimmers, families, and officials fueled and happy during home meets!

This is a great behind-the-scenes role for someone who enjoys organizing, shopping, and being part of the excitement of swim season. Best of all, you’ll have lots of help from other volunteers along the way.

Responsibilities include:

• Picking up bulk items from Costco (drinks, snacks, etc.)
• Ordering/picking up donuts and breakfast burritos on select Saturday mornings (see below)
• Ordering pizza (delivery!) for ONE Wednesday meet (July 8)
• Dropping supplies at the pool house before home meets
• (Our volunteers help with setup — you are definitely not doing this alone!)
• Monitoring inventory and restocking supplies as needed
• Coordinating with our Treasurer, who will provide cash for the concession cash box

2026 Home Meet Dates:

• Saturday, June 20
• Saturday, June 27
• Wednesday, July 8

This role is a huge help to the team and a fun way to be involved during the season.

Our goal is a great experience for the whole Gators family.

Team Swimsuits/Jammers

The Gators Equipment Manager, Brandi Steorts, has swimsuits/jammers available to try-on and purchase from the fit kit. Please contact her at [email protected] if you are looking for information on team suits and to see if she has your size available.

Team caps and t-shirts are still in production and will be distributed as soon as they arrive.
