We are looking forward to kicking off the 2026 season with new swimmer evaluations and our preseason team meeting on Tuesday, May 26.

New swimmer evaluations will begin at 5:00 p.m. No sign-up is required — just come ready to swim (suit, goggles, and EXTRA towels; the water will be chilly!). If your swimmer is unable to attend, their evaluation will take place at the start of their first practice.

All new Greenway Gators swimmers — including age group swimmers, Mini Gators, and 2025 Mini Gators moving up to the age group team — are required to complete a new swimmer evaluation, regardless of skill level. This allows our coaches to observe each swimmer’s current abilities and best support them throughout the season.

The preseason team meeting will begin at 6:00 p.m. outside the pool house, or in the game room in the event of rain.

Preseason practices for the age group swim team will be held Monday through Thursday from Wednesday, May 27, through Thursday, June 11. Practices will take place in 30-minute sessions between 5:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Advance sign-up is required, and each session will be limited to 12 swimmers.

With Time Trials scheduled before the start of the regular season, we strongly encourage swimmers to attend preseason practices whenever possible to help build endurance and get back into the water before competition begins. If your swimmer cannot attend a scheduled preseason session but has access to another pool, lap swimming on their own is also highly encouraged.

The Mini Gators season begins June 16. Please note that Mini Gators do not attend preseason practices.
