The Evergreen Meadows Makos look forward to hosting the Greenway Gators for our swim meet on Wednesday, June 25, 2025! Details are provided below.

Theme: Superheroes/Mystical Creatures – which will you choose?

Location: Evergreen Meadows Pool (104 WallaceDrive SE, Leesburg, VA)

Parking Details: Evergreen Meadows typically leaves their pool parking lot open for visiting team use. If the lot is full, please park along Stowers Lane (along the west edge of the pool property) for overflow. Please refrain from parking along Wallace Drive and Alpine Drive to minimize disruption to their residents along these streets.

Entrance Instructions: Athletes and spectators should use the locker rooms to enter and exit the pool area.

Warm-ups:

• Pool deck open: 4:30 pm
• Makos warm up: 5:00 pm – 5:25 pm
• Gators warm up: 5:25 pm – 5:50 pm
• National Anthem: 5:55 pm. Coach Emma will need three swimmers to swim flags across the pool.
• Meet starts: 6:00 pm

Volunteers: The meet will not begin until all volunteer spots are filled. Please sign up to avoid delays.

• Check-in with Mary Hess by 5:15 pm to pick up your name tags.
• Officials briefing: 5:30 pm
• Timers briefing: 5:35 pm

Team Staging Area: The Gators team area will be located under the pergola and in the small turf area on the far side of the pool (shallow end).

Spectator Viewing Area: Parents, family, and friends of swimmers attending the meet are welcome to sit anywhere on the deck space between the pool house and the near side of the pool as you enter the pool deck. To maintain clear sightlines and facilitate efficient meet operations, parents not working the meet as a deck official, volunteer lane timer, or in any other meet position are not permitted in the team areas or in any area within ten feet of the pool. Further, competitors may not loiter along the edges of the pool between the timers and the starter equipment. Evergreen Meadows encourages families to bring their own deck chairs and shade canopies. These may be used in addition to those available on the pool deck.

Please remind your swimmers to stay with the team during the meet. If the coaches cannot find your swimmer for their event, they might miss it.

Concessions: A variety of concession options will be available. The Makos accept cash or Venmo.

Weather: If the weather impacts the swim meet, a text alert will be sent using SwimTopia. Plan on the standard 30-minute delay (proceed to your cars to wait). If the teams need to call it, an announcement will be sent through SwimTopia. Keep your phones handy, please.

Heat Sheets: Will be published on the Documents and Links page no later than midday tomorrow. You can also view your swimmer(s) event, heat, and lane in the Swimtopia app. Copies will also be displayed in the team area at the meet.
