Hello Greenway Gators Family,

The Old Dominion Swim League (ODSL) has released the initial training schedule for officials for the 2025 season. We’re excited to share this information so you can plan ahead if you're interested in serving as a Stroke & Turn (S&T) Judge, Starter, or Referee this summer.

What's New for 2025

• Officials certifying as a Referee will automatically receive certification for both Starter and S&T roles.
• Those certifying as a Starter will also be certified for the S&T position.

Upcoming Training Clinics

Stroke & Turn Judge (for new officials)

• Wed, April 30 @ Gum Springs Library | 7:00–8:30 PM
• Mon, May 19 @ Cascades Library | 7:30–9:00 PM
• Additional sessions to be scheduled in late May/early June

Starter (must have completed one season as an S&T official)

• Wed, April 30 @ Gum Springs Library Room A | 6:00–7:00 PM (New Starters)
• Thurs, May 8 @ Sterling Library Room A | 7:30–8:30 PM (New Starters)
• Mon, May 19 @ Cascades Library | 6:30–7:30 PM (Recertification ONLY)
• More sessions to come in late May/early June

Referee (must have completed one S&T season and be recommended by the Team Rep)

Online Testing

ODSL now offers online exams with instant results. If needed, retakes can be completed immediately.

• Testing window: Monday, April 28 – Friday, June 6 (closing at 9:00 PM sharp)
• No late submissions will be accepted.
